Moderation Bot for Discord

Auto-moderate spam, slurs, raids and rule-breakers in your Discord server with a fully customizable AI moderation bot — no coding required.

A Discord moderation bot is the single biggest quality-of-life upgrade you can give a growing server. The right setup catches spam before mods see it, soft-warns users instead of banning them outright, and keeps a clean audit log of every action it takes. With Discord Bot Creator, you can describe the rules in plain English and the AI builds the bot — including warn / mute / kick / ban tiers, mod-log channels, and per-channel exceptions — in under five minutes.

What this template includes

  • Auto-delete messages matching custom blocklists or regex patterns
  • Tiered warning system (warn → mute → kick → ban) with configurable thresholds
  • Anti-raid mode that auto-locks the server when join rates spike
  • Detailed audit log to a private mod channel, including who, what, when
  • Whitelisted roles and channels so staff and bots aren't affected
  • Slash commands for manual moderation: /warn /mute /kick /ban /unban

How it works (3 steps)

  1. 1

Describe your rules in plain English

Open the bot creator, paste the example prompt below, and add any server-specific rules you want enforced (e.g. "no self-promo links outside #shameless-plug").

  2. 2

    Review the generated configuration

The AI will lay out the warning thresholds, blocklists, and channel exceptions. Tweak any of them in plain English — no JSON, no code.

  3. 3

    Deploy with one click

Click Deploy. The bot is hosted, online, and ready to invite to your server in seconds. You can keep editing the rules later.

Copy-paste prompt

Drop this into Discord Bot Creator and you'll have a working bot in under 5 minutes. Edit any of it in plain English to fit your server.

Build a moderation bot for a 5,000-member gaming Discord. Auto-delete messages with slurs, NSFW links, and Discord invites posted by users without the @Trusted role. Three warnings = 1-hour mute, five = 24-hour mute, seven = ban. Log every action to #mod-log with the offender, channel, message content, and the action taken. Anti-raid: if more than 10 accounts join in 60 seconds, lock all channels except #lobby for 10 minutes and ping @Mods.

FAQ

Can a moderation bot replace human moderators?

No — but it can absorb 80–90% of routine cases (link spam, slurs, repeat offenders) so your human mods focus on judgment calls and conflict resolution. Treat the bot as a force multiplier, not a replacement.

What permissions does a moderation bot need?

At minimum: Manage Messages, Kick Members, Ban Members, Mute Members, View Audit Log, and Send Messages in the mod-log channel. Avoid Administrator — give it only what it needs. We cover this in detail in our permissions guide.

Will the bot moderate other bots or staff?

By default, no. The generated config whitelists any role you mark as staff plus any verified bot account. You can adjust the whitelist at any time.

Can the bot handle slurs in multiple languages?

Yes. Because the underlying model is multilingual, you can list languages or specific terms and it will catch variants and l33t-speak (e.g. "@ss" or "sh1t") without you maintaining a regex list by hand.
